Changes to the Terms

Tie-In reserves the right to change its Terms of Service at any time. Terms will be periodically updated to reflect new features, functionalities, services, social dynamics, and regulations to ensure our platform remains suitable for our users. We will leverage all commercially reasonable efforts to notify all users of any changes to these Terms, including but not limited to email, push-notification, or in-app notification.

Privacy Policy

By establishing an account on the Tie-In app, users may provide some or all of the following information:

Account and profile information, such as name, age, username, password, language, email, phone number, social media account information, and profile image
User-generated content, which includes photographs, videos, audio recordings, comments, text, hashtags, and virtual item videos that were chosen by the user to create with or upload to the Tie-In app, as well as all associated metadata for each content, such as when, where, and by whom the content was created.
Messages that include information provided during the composition, sending, or receipt of messages through the Tie-In app’s messaging functionalities.
Information found in users’ device clipboards
Purchase information, including payment card numbers or other third-party payment information where required for the purpose of payment, and billing & shipping addresses. Tie-In also collects information necessary for extended warranty purposes and transaction & purchase history on or through Tie-In.
Information necessary to verify a Tie-In account such as proof of identity.
Information shared in user surveys or in-app challenges, promotions, fundraisers, marketing campaigns, events, or contests such as gender, age, likeness, and preferences.

Information that Tie-In collects will generally be used for the following purposes:

To customize the content shown on each individual user’s content feeds. For instance, content will be shown based on previous likes or watch time, as well as content relevant to your country or age settings.
To deliver promotional content and/or materials from Tie-In or on behalf of our trusted partners and third parties.
To suggest users, content, and advertisements to provide a more relevant and useful ad experience.
To develop our understanding of how each user interacts with the Tie-In platform.
To predict qualifying information such as age, gender, and interests.
To develop and refine our proprietary technology, such as our interests plus system and machine learning models & algorithms.
To assist our team in detecting and responding to platform misuse, such as abuse, fraud, or any illegal activity within the Tie-In app.
To protect users on our platform by scanning, analyzing, and reviewing UGC, messages, or any associated metadata for violations of our Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, or other conditions and policies set in place by Tie-In.
To enforce Tie-In’s Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and other conditions and policies.
To communicate with and notify our users of any changes in our services.
For any other purposes communicated to users at the time of information collection or pursuant to user consent.

Tie-In shares the categories of personal information listed above with relevant service providers and business partners in order to facilitate business operations and for business purposes, including research, payment processing & transaction fulfillment, database maintenance, technology services, sending communications, measurement, data storage and hosting, disaster recovery, search engine optimization, and data processing.

Tie-In may disclose user information as a response to subpoenas, court orders, legal process, law enforcement requests, legal claims, or government inquiries, and to protect and defend the rights, interests, safety, and security of the Tie-In app, our partners, users, or the public.

Tie-In takes reasonable actions to safeguard user information against loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, it is important to understand that storing or transmitting data over the Internet or any public network is never guaranteed to be entirely secure. Please be aware that any data collected by third parties may not be subject to the same security measures applied by Tie-In. Tie-In is not responsible for securing this information.

Tie-In retains user information as long as needed to provide to the platform and any other purposes laid out in this Privacy Policy. Information is also retained when necessary to meet legal or contractual requirements, support Tie-In’s legitimate business interests, and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Retention periods for data vary depending on the type of data and how it is used by Tie-In. For example, profile-specific information is retained while that profile remains active to provide access to the platform. If a user violates Tie-In’s Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, or other applicable policies, their profile may be removed immediately. Other relevant information may be retained in this case to address the violation adequately.

Acceptable Use Policy

Users will be in violation of this Policy if they use the Tie-In app in any manner that features, promotes, or facilitates:

Illegal activity including actual, claimed, or role-played exploitation, abuse, or harm of individuals under the age of 18.
Prohibited materials including weapons or controlled substances that are used or suggestive of use in a manner that may threaten or cause harm to yourself or a third party.
Hateful or discriminatory conduct, including attacks on other users or real-life individuals on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, caste, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or disease.
Abuse or harassment including stalking, doxxing, defaming, or sharing non-consensual, fake, or manipulated images or otherwise unauthorized images that may misrepresent a user or real-life individual in a negative light.
Violence or harm, including prohibited role play, use of objects or language intended or likely to cause physical or mental harm.
Any sexual contents that contain nudity, sexual innuendo, or materials that represent excessive suggestiveness.
Inaccurate information including misleading descriptions of media, account information, or user behavior.
Copying content including scraping, downloading, sharing, or gathering information from Tie-In or its users, influencers, or nonprofits for any reason.
Prohibited commercial activity including selling controlled or regulated items, representing that Tie-In has endorsed the user of their content, or infringing a third-party intellectual property right.
